The Cosmic Dance: A Dramatic Poem
ACT I: The Awakening of the Cosmos
(The stage is set in a cosmic realm, a space between time and eternity. The gods Brahma, Shiva, and Shakti appear, their presence immense and awe-inspiring. The figures of Eminescu, Tagore, and Shanti stand before them, questioning their place in the universe.)
Scene 1: The Convergence of Time and Space
(The gods stand in the celestial space, Brahma speaks first. The winds and stars swirl around as time begins its endless dance.)
Brahma
In the beginning, all things flowed from me,
The force of life, the source of all that is.
From me arose the elements of time,
And all the stars and worlds do sing my rhyme.
The dance begins; the spiral turns its way,
And from this dance, all life shall find its play.
Shiva
I am the fire that cleanses, burns, and molds,
The one who shapes the world with hands of gold.
From my embrace, destruction shall arise,
Yet from that fall, new worlds shall touch the skies.
The cycle turns, as flames consume the past,
But from the ash, the future’s light shall last.
Shakti
And I, the power of creation’s force,
The river flowing through the endless course,
From me, all life doth spring, both great and small,
I weave the worlds, and guide them through the fall.
In love, in loss, in every living breath,
I shape the rise and fall of life and death.
Scene 2: The Mortal Question
(Eminescu, Tagore, and Shanti, standing before the gods, speak their hearts’ longing, seeking to understand the nature of the universe and their role in it.)
Eminescu
O mighty gods, whose voices echo loud,
What is the purpose of this world we see?
The heavens burn, the earth trembles and shakes,
But what of man—what role does he partake?
Tagore
Is life but fleeting, a shadow in the night,
Or do we seek, with every step, the light?
The universe spins on a silent wheel,
But tell us, gods, what truth must man reveal?
Shanti
O gods, we are but children in this vast,
Our hearts are filled with questions, yet we’re cast
In forms unknown, with paths that twist and wind,
Please grant us peace and let us know our kind.
Scene 3: Brahma’s Revelation
(Brahma steps forward, raising his hand to signal the beginning of a great revelation. The cosmos pauses as he speaks.)
Brahma
The truth you seek lies not in fire or flame,
Nor in the dust where mortal minds do claim.
The truth is hidden deep within the soul,
A secret kept by those who seek control.
In time’s great flow, where all things merge as one,
The truth is found, though it cannot be undone.
ACT II: The Battle of Light and Darkness
Scene 1: The Conflict of Opposites
(Shiva steps forward, his voice booming like thunder, while Shakti rises, her energy flowing like water. The two speak of their conflicting roles in the cosmic drama.)
Shiva
I am the end, the beginning of the flame,
The power of destruction is my name.
Through fire, I burn the world’s illusions down,
Only through loss shall truth be found.
Shakti
But I, the mother, give life to all that lives,
Through me, all love and light the world forgives.
I am the force that makes the flowers bloom,
Without my touch, the world would meet its doom.
Scene 2: The Mortal Plea
(Eminescu, Tagore, and Shanti approach the gods once more, seeking to understand their place in the dance of life and death.)
Eminescu
O mighty gods, we beg thee grant us light,
Show us the truth that hides beyond our sight.
The earth doth tremble, and the heavens burn,
Yet man must find the path for which he yearns.
Tagore
What is this world if we cannot perceive
The truth behind the chaos we receive?
How can we live, and where shall we belong,
If even stars cannot correct the wrong?
Shanti
In darkness, we do search, but cannot see,
In light, we search for truth, but it doth flee.
O gods, give answer to our mortal plea,
And show us what this world is meant to be.
Scene 3: Brahma’s Answer
(Brahma speaks once more, his voice echoing through the heavens. A light shines from his eyes, and all things become clear.)
Brahma
From me all things are born, yet all return,
The fire that burns shall one day cease to burn.
In death, in life, in every breath we take,
The truth of being, we must all forsake.
But in the stillness of the void, you see,
The cycle turns, and thus, eternity.
ACT III: The Dance of the Elements
Scene 1: The Cosmic Dance
(Brahma, Shiva, and Shakti begin to move in a grand cosmic dance, their movements representing creation, destruction, and love. The elements of the universe whirl around them.)
Brahma
From me, the seed of all things grows,
In fire and water, the cosmos flows.
The dance begins, and all things must take part,
Each step, each turn, a work of cosmic art.
Shiva
Through me, the fire consumes and clears the sky,
Without destruction, no new life can fly.
I am the flame that burns with endless might,
Yet from my flame, the world finds its light.
Shakti
I am the earth, the air, the flowing stream,
The love and light that fill the stars with dream.
Through me, all things grow, both great and small,
In me, the universe answers to the call.
Scene 2: The Mortal Revelation
(Eminescu, Tagore, and Shanti observe the gods as they dance. Understanding begins to dawn in their minds.)
Eminescu
Now I see, the truth is not in flame,
Nor in the sky, nor in the world’s great name.
The truth is found in balance, here, within,
In every soul, in every world’s great spin.
Tagore
The dance of life is but a fleeting song,
Yet in its rhythm, we belong.
In love, in pain, in every joy we find,
We see the truth that lives within the mind.
Shanti
What is the truth beneath the flame’s bright glow?
Is it not love, the force from which we grow?
For in the dark, a flower takes its root,
And from that seed, the world does take its shoot.
Scene 3: The Revelation of Unity
(The gods join hands, and the light of the cosmos brightens. The balance of creation, destruction, and love is achieved.)
Brahma, Shiva, and Shakti (together)
From me, from you, from all that lives and dies,
The truth is clear before your wondering eyes.
Through fire and flame, through love and loss we find,
That all is one, and one is all combined.
In unity, the cosmos finds its peace,
And from this peace, all life shall find release.
Scene 4: The Final Embrace
(The gods and mortals stand together, gazing at the cosmos as it settles into harmony. Peace reigns, and the dance of life continues.)
Eminescu
Now I see, the dance of life is true,
In every breath, in every star, we knew.
That from the dark, from ashes, life is born,
And from the fire, the world is reborn.
Tagore
And in this dance, the light and dark align,
In every soul, the stars do brightly shine.
We find our place, we find our path, our way,
In love and truth, we rise and never sway.
Shanti
For we are but the children of the stars,
And in their light, we find our life’s great cause.
The dance of life, the cosmic song we sing,
Is found in peace, in balance, and in wing.
End of Act III: The Dance of the Elements.
ACT IV: The Circle Completed
(The scene begins with Brahma, Shiva, and Shakti in a final cosmic convergence, as Eminescu, Tagore, and Shanti observe the eternal cycle, understanding the unity of creation, destruction, and love.)
Brahma
The cycle turns, and all things must return,
From dust to stars, from fire to the eternal burn.
The dance of life is but a fleeting thing,
Yet in its turn, the heavens joyfully sing.
Shiva
Through fire, through flame, the world must be reborn,
In death, in life, the universe is worn.
The path of truth is lit by sacrifice,
And in its light, we find the great device.
Shakti
The earth, the air, the water, and the fire,
The dance of life, the flame that takes us higher.
In balance, all things find their proper place,
And in that place, we find the gift of grace.
Eminescu
The truth you seek is not in what we see,
But in the heart, where love is truly free.
In every breath, in every star, in every dream,
The dance of life is more than what it seems.
Tagore
For we are but a part of something vast,
A cosmic song that will forever last.
In unity, in love, in every breath we take,
The dance of life we live for truth’s own sake.
Shanti
From earth to sky, from fire to the sea,
The dance of life will ever be.
Through death and birth, through joy and pain,
The circle turns and turns again.
Coral Triad (Chorus):
From fire, earth, and air, and water deep,
We rise and fall, and ever onward sweep.
The dance of life, the cosmic song we sing,
In unity, all things shall take their wing.
End of Act IV: The Circle Completed.
